  Our Story.
We live in Lilburn, Georgia; a suburb of Atlanta. We grew up in Western New York, but have lived in Georgia since 1999. We met in high school at a Homecoming Dance and quickly became friends. Over the years our friendship became the foundation of our relationship. We were married in 1996 and celebrated our fifth anniversary on our dream vacation in Hawaii. Our love for each other continues to grow with each passing day. Our constant companions are our two golden retrievers, Ireland and Ripken. They fill our lives with unconditional love and energy. Dennis is a salesman for Community Coffee, a Gulf Coast region coffee company. Kim is an education manager at the Georgia Aquarium and teaches children about the aquatic world. We live in a subdivision near a local elementary school, county park and aquatic center. Dennis is eager to coach our child’s baseball or softball team and watch them hit their first home run. Kim can’t wait to teach our child how to swim and introduce them to her fishy friends.

Our Support.
We are fortunate to have incredible support from our family and friends in our adoption decision. Two of Kim’s cousins and several of our friends were adopted. We are privileged to be able to share our dream with a couple of college friends who have adopted children of their own.

Both of our parents are excited to become grandparents and have supported us the entire way! Kim's mom is a registered nurse and Dad is a semi-retired engineering consultant. She has one brother who is married, living in Long Island, NY with 3 wonderful kids.

Dennis' mom is a preschool teacher. His dad died when he was 18, but his mom remarried a terrific man who is now retired. He has 2 brothers, 4 stepbrothers, and one stepsister. All but one are married and there are 5 nieces and nephews.
